The BRIT Awards: rebranded by Music

The Brit Awards have received a long overdue image re-haul, from the introduction of a new visual identity down to a new concept for the BRIT trophies. The trophies have been streamlined and cast in white, and each year a guest artist (this year the one and only Vivienne Westwood) will be invited to decorate it. The identity itself is created by the new outline of the trophy, which appears as a white silhouette against a B shape that is filled with changing imagery.

I absolutely love the concept of the trophy, but the identity feels a bit tired already, we’ve seen loads of logos using negative space recently and this one isn’t one of the best. Also the ‘changing imagery’ is very similar to the Aol concept, which was criticised for lacking visual strength and being lazy. Opinions please!
